Bessie Howard - Back Pain
Hi, My name is Bessie and my journey with Keith started with him getting rid of my chronic lower back pain.

Since the age of 9, I have been going to a chiropractor weekly, to have my neck realigned, my hips put back in place and my lower back treated. I grew very quickly as a teenager and was always having problems with pain in these regions.

Aged 15, I had an operation to fix ripped cartilage in my right hip and to shave the bone that was causing the tear. Although my hips were significantly better, I was still struggling with back pain.

Roll on 2022 and I’m 18 years old and still living day to day with Chronic back pain.

Due to other issues I had at this time, I could not stand, so in our first session, Keith got me comfortable on a chair, assessed and then corrected or installed, maybe recalibrated, the reflexes of my spine. I felt better, more stable, and in way less pain. I could not believe it!

Keith explained that he came at my problem from a different perspective instead of treating the muscles and joints he assessing the communication between Brain and muscles and ensures all the right signals are getting through.

I looked forward to my second session and was pain-free in 3!

Now we could start working on my other issues. A storey for another day.

Keith’s wealth of knowledge, looking at the whole body instead of just where the pain is located was life-changing.

His neurological approach and rehabilitation skills fixed my problem in an amazingly short time. It was unintrusive, did not cause me any pain and got me where I needed to be fast!

Andrea
My name is Andrea, I live in Nottingham and I’m 46 years old.

I came to see Keith at the Latimer Clinic of Applied Movement Neurology to help with a significant lower back pain. I struggled to stand up straight and even walking caused discomfort.

The issues stemmed from an old injury caused by moving outdoor equipment as a primary school teacher in Reception. In recent years the condition would flare up more regularly resulting in me having time off and adjustments made to my working environment.

Over the decades I have used Physiotherapy, Chiropractors and Osteopaths and spent thousands of pounds. I have tried massage, Pilates and strength and conditioning techniques. All of which had some positive results but have not made me pain free.

The process of Applied Movement Neurology was of interest to me and I realised that the problem is not in the muscles and joints but in the signals that control them. Within two sessions I could feel the difference. I had less pain and a better range of movement. I have recommended Keith to friends and colleagues because the sessions have transformed my quality of life.

Georgina and Harry - Hamstring Injury
My name is Georgina and Harry is my 16 year old son.

He is training to be a professional dancer and so an injury to his Hamstrings that won’t clear up is a real problem when training in Ballet.

The school he trains at has physiotherapists on site and they had worked hard to improve it but sadly there was little improvement.

Privately we started working with a Chiropractor, significant progress was made and the initial underlying problem was resolved, but as soon as he danced the pain would return in his hamstring and he would not be able to lift his leg higher than 45 degrees – not good for ballet.

After a conversation with Keith, I took Harry down to see him. By the end of the first session, Harry could lift his left without pain for the first time in months!

Due to the length of time the injury had persisted his leg was less flexible and weaker than the other leg so Keith gave Harry the exercises required to increase the flexibility and rebuild the missing strength. Keith’s background as a gymnast and highly competitive full-contact martial artist really showed with his understanding of the exact exercises Harry needed to do for the specific way he uses his body. Harry continues to follow Keith’s program of exercises each week and often before his dance sessions at school.

Keith is also on standby if there is a niggle or reoccurrence so it can be assessed straight away and a plan will be put in place.

I would not hesitate to refer to Keith and the treatment practice of Applied Movement Neurology to you. If you’ve been in pain for a while do not hesitate to contact him.

Stacey - Meralgia Parasthetica
My name is Stacey and I reached out to Keith after a doctor diagnosed me with Meralgia Parasthetica. This is where the nerve to the thigh is compressed and it can cause numbness and pain.
As part of my conversation with the doctor (and a bit of googling), I was told that nobody knows the cause and if it progresses to regular pain then it might need steroid injections. The doctor suggested exercise and offered an MRI to confirm the diagnosis. But in the past, I had worked with a PT twice a week, got stronger and fitter and I still had the problem, so I knew exercise alone wasn’t my solution.
So, I contacted Keith.
The first session was an hour and by the end of it, I had more mobility and a better sense of sensation in my right hip and thigh. Over the following couple of days, the problem went from a 6 out of 10 to a 3.
There was very little to do in the second session, it took less than half an hour which was great! And better still, I haven’t experienced the issue since.
If you’re not already working with someone who can work out if the muscles and brain are talking to each other, then I suggest you do – what’s stopping you?
